Celebrate Our High Street: Saturday 4th July
This summer, our village high street is coming alive with a special Shop Local Celebration Day on Saturday 4th July — and everyone is invited to join in.
Our brilliant local shops and cafés will stay open into the afternoon, giving residents more time to browse, buy, and enjoy everything our high street has to offer. It’s a fantastic chance to support the independent businesses that keep our village vibrant, friendly, and unique.
With a kind donation from the Parish Council to support the event the high street will be buzzing with extra fun throughout the day, including:
- Street entertainment with local musicians supporting the event
- A village “Frog” Scavenger Hunt for little explorers grab your sheets at Ruthergans
- Free ice-creams for the lucky winners who complete the trail
This family friendly event is part of our ongoing Shop Local campaign, encouraging residents to choose local first — whether it’s picking up a gift, grabbing a coffee, or discovering a new favourite shop.
