Community Care Association

Friendship groups, afternoon tea, drivers, caring, volunteers…

Tcommunity-care-talkinghe objective of the Association is to promote the welfare of the inhabitants of East Leake without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, political, religious or other opinions by associating with the local authorities, churches, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to promote Community Care and to provide such facilities and services in the interest of social welfare as are desirable for improving the conditions of life for the villagers of East Leake.  East Leake Community Care can be contacted through the Chairperson – Gisela Petschler 07812 421290 or through Facebook / eastleakecommunitycare@gmail.com

Our volunteer driver scheme can be booked through our Area Organisers, see details on contacts page.  Please also see our new Memory Lane Cafe, poster on Services page.

We would very much welcome new drivers for our car scheme. We take people to hospital and other similar local appointments. We pay a mileage rate to the maximum allowed by HMRC; this is currently 45p per mile. Most insurance companies will cover this work on normal insurance policies without extra cost. Drivers can choose their own preferred distance, frequency of driving, availability and level of commitment. Please contact the phone numbers above to volunteer or just request more information. We really do need you now!

The AGM of East Leake Community Care Association will be held on Monday 3 October 2022 at St Mary’s Church Hall, East Leake, beginning at 8 pm.
